Christian Urns was formed in 2009 by Haden and Tim Tirey.  What started out as a search for something non-tacky for our own loved one has turned into a business.  We are located in Monroeville; a very small town in southwest Alabama.  Our little town (population 7000) has been hit very hard by the current economic crisis.  Unemployment is between 17 and 20 percent with much of the mill work previously done here, now being farmed out to foreign countries.  Our goal at Christian Urns was not only to make an urn that would be affordable, beautiful, and a joyful reminder of the loved one, but also to employ a few people.  We feel very strongly, and are proud of the fact that almost every part of our product is made in the United States.   The Tireys are faithful Episcopalians and they, along with their two teenage children, attend St. Johns Episcopal Church in Monroeville.
