FAQ
Some questions you might have about cremation.

1. Where can I find a beautiful urn?

  •  You found it!

2. What should I do with my urn?

  • Well, some people put them on their mantle or bookshelf.  They are simple and elegant, with lovely clean lines, and most people will not have a clue what they are.  Alternatively, you may prefer to bury it in a cemetery, or place it in a crematorium.

3. What does the Bible say about cremation?

  • Neither the Old Testement, nor the New Testement condemn cremation.  We find bodies being burned in 1 Kings 16:18 and 2 Kings 21:6, and bones being burned in 2 Kings 23:16-20.   It certainly wasn't the custom during that period, and our bodies are a temple for the Holy Spirit.  However, God will give us new bodies, anyway, whether they are dust in a casket in the ground, or dust in an urn.  "Dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return."  All we go down to the dust; yet even at the grave we make our song: Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia.

4. How much do urns cost?

  • I can't speak for everyone, but my urns are priced at around $120-$150 USD.  When I did my research for this business, I saw them from around $85 up to thousands of dollars.

5. How do I know what size to buy?

  • The rule of thumb is 1 cubic inch per pound of body weight.  The majority of my urns hold approximately 200 cubic inches.   Some people put all the ashes in the urn, and some people spread some of the ashes at a favorite location.  It's your choice.

 6. How does this cost compare to the usual funeral home/casket/burial site cost?

  • The average cost of a funeral today is between $5000-7000 USD.  The cost for a plot of course ranges too, but is usually between $250-20,000.  Yes, I said $20,000.  That must be out in Hollywood, or somewhere.  A casket costs from $500-6000.  Overall, cremation, costing between $600-$1000 and an urn, costing $100-$150 is a more cost effective alternative.  Of course, there will still be expenses from the funeral home for various services provided.

7.  Is the funeral service different from tradtional services.

  •  Not at all.
